Day Four

September 03, 2023  •  Leave a Comment

The nice stretch of weather continues despite some overnight rain. I decided to stay more local and visit Peebles Island State Park in Waterford. Peebles Island is a very small park and in order to get the kind of distance I've been looking for lately I have to also walk to the park.

By zigzagging almost all of the trails on the island and including the walk back and forth I managed 5.64 miles. This is just shy of the 5.68 miles the other day at Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve but today's walk had 246 feet of elevation gain versus 21 feet for the flat nature preserve.

Here are some of the scenes from this morning.

UPDATE 9/5/23: The streak ended after four days as yesterday was overcast and parks would have been busy due to the holiday and this morning is similarly overcast and I am waiting on a FedEx delivery.
