I wrote about a contemplated change in lens philosophy on the Gear Blog here. I tested out the first two incoming lenses this morning at a warm, muggy and foggy Grafton Lakes State Park. 

One lens, the RF 16mm f/2.8 STM I briefly owned before returning it back in July. Luckily, this lens is currently cheaper than back in July thanks to a special sale at B&H. The second lens is the RF 28mm f/2.8 STM pancake lens which is a new offering by Canon. My copy, in fact, was manufactured in July of this year.
