When I was looking for old Minolta MC lenses I noticed that the 300mm f/4.5 lens is labeled 30cm rather than 300mm. So there's no reason not to refer to a 50mm lens as a 5 cents lens. I had a few minutes today between errands and walked around Oakwood Cemetery with my newest lens. 

I'm very happy with the lens and am going to be relying on just the two bodies and two lenses although I will play with the Minolta lenses occasionally. This is what the gear looks like in my Lowepro Stratus 15 shoulder bag. Straps, filters, batteries, etc. are mostly hidden away.
