Yet Another Old Lens

A Minolta MC TELE ROKKOR-PF 100mm f/2.5 lens arrived yesterday as I continue to evaluate using Minolta 1960s lenses on Canon R series bodies. Reviews accurately describe this lens as a bit on the soft side which makes it perhaps better suited to portraits than landscapes. Even stopped down it doesn't get as sharp as modern lenses. I also was not using the rather large lens hood which might have contributed to lower contrast on the shots facing the sun.

The nice thing about these lenses is they are very inexpensive which makes it reasonable to experiment with different models and even different copies of the same model to find the best characteristics. I also live within walking distance of a long established camera and lens repair shop which can deal with whatever issues a lens I pick up on eBay might have.

Here are the images with the new lens from this morning. Most are cropped, to varying degrees.
