Beating the Crowds

One annoying thing about Saratoga National Historical Park is the limited access to the tour road. The tour road is closed in winter and doesn't open until 9:00 AM when it is open.

9:00 AM is fine in the fall, when sunrise is after 7:00 AM and the sun stays lower in the sky, but this time of year the sun is up shortly after 5:00 AM and goes straight up. Today, I was at the visitors center around 6:00 AM and used the Wilkinson Trail to get down to the Freeman Farm area of the battlefield.

I carried the 5DS R with the 16-35mm lens and the 90D with the 70-300mm lens. I added 53 images to the gallery at https://trulandphotography.com/snhp, which now contains 318 photos.
