Ever since I sold my EOS RP bodies and RF lenses last summer, I haven't really had a useful camera and lens for wildlife. With that gear I had 600mm of full frame reach but only at f/11 and 26 megapixels. 

I've replaced my last remaining 6D Mark II body, which replaced the RP bodies, with a crop sensor EOS 90D body. When paired with the long end of my 70-300mm lens, I have 460mm of full frame reach at f/5.6 and 33 megapixels. A further 1.6X crop gives me 768mm of full frame coverage and 12.6 megapixel images. It's a much better setup as the 90D will shoot 10 frames a second versus half that for the RP bodies and my 5DS bodies.

I went to test out the 90D this morning at Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve. Before I ran across anything interesting airliners started to pass overhead from Albany Airport a few miles away. I guess 6:00 AM is a popular time for flights. Over a dozen took off in the two hours I was walking around.
