Weather, a trip to Michigan over Thanksgiving and a death in the family meant that I haven't been out of doors with my cameras in over a week. I also needed a dose of exercise so I went up to Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve hoping to get some December contributions to the PDM project.

The best situation for closeups of frost and ice on nature subjects is a sunny morning after a below freezing night. Today was such a day although it was barely below freezing overnight and the frost was melting as soon as the sun hit it.
