Fall Color at Shaver Pond

I took a walk around Shaver Pond at Grafton Lakes State Park this morning. The Grafton area does not appear to be at peak color yet. 

The high clouds diffused the sunlight but also prevented blue skies for fall color backgrounds. I'd like to make at least one more trip to Grafton in the next couple of weeks, perhaps even braving the fire tower.

Here are some shots from this morning. I used the RF 24-105mm lens but 15 of the 20 images I uploaded to the Grafton Lakes gallery, including all of these, were shot at 24mm,
