Two Days Before the First Battle

The first battle of Saratoga took place on September 19, 1977, 245 years ago this coming Monday. The weather forecast includes a chance of rain tomorrow and Monday so I made sure I got up to the battlefield this morning.

I traded in my fisheye zoom lens, and my two 28mm lenses for an RF 24-105mm f/4L lens. I expected the lens by the weekend but it's on a truck in a FedEx warehouse so I had to reactivate my EF 24-70mm f/4L lens, which is waiting to be sold along with my EF 85mm f/1.4L lens. Taking the place of the latter is an RF 85mm f/2 IS STM lens which is smaller, lighter and cheaper than the EF version.

Today, I walked the western part of the Wilkinson Trail with the EOS R with the adapted 24-70mm lens and the EOS 5DSR with the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L lens.

Here are some of the results.
