90D on Peebles Island

It's been a while since I took the 90D body out, and I hadn't yet carried it around Peebles Island. I did so this morning with the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM lens, to which it remains attached in the bag.

With the 90D's 1.6X crop factor, this combination has a maximum focal length equivalent of 480mm and the 90D's 32 megapixels allows a further 1.6X crop with a resulting 12.6 megapixel image with an equivalent focal length of 768mm.

I have separated my gear into two separate bags on a trial bases. The landscape and wildlife gear is in my Think Tank Airport Essentials backpack and consists of the EOS 5DS and 90D and EF 16-35mm, 24-70mm and 70-300mm lenses.

A Think Tank Speedwalker backpack contains my EOS 5DS R, my two fast prime lenses: the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 and Canon 85mm f/1.4; and the Canon 8-15mm fisheye zoom lens which is really just two prime lenses, circular fisheye at one end and diagonal fisheye at the other. I also recently picked up a Canon 500D closeup lens (which screws on the front of the 85mm lens) and alters the closeup ability from .12X to .31X. [update 7/26/22: I've since swapped out the Speedwalker backpack for a Lowepro Stratus 15 shoulder bag but it's basically the same kit.]

Here are some shots from this morning.
