A Lens Quartet?

One of the issues I've had with the fast prime lenses is having to decide on a lens or two when I'm not really focused on making artistic images and just want something along other than my iPhone. I came up with a possible solution and am renting an EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM lens for a week to see how it works.

I have owned two copies of this lens in the past and traded both of them in, most recently eleven months ago when I was switching back to R series bodies and lenses from my 5DS bodies. The lens is roughly the same size and weight as each of my three prime lenses and covers all the focal lengths plus 70mm with a closeup feature. 

Although at least three stops slower than my fast prime lenses, f/4 versus f/1.2 or f/1.4, for daytime editorial or documentary purposes it's a very good lens. The purchase price for the rental lens is lower than other options currently so if the lens works out over the coming weekend I'll take advantage of the opportunity to keep it.
