August at the Battlefield

August 13, 2022  •  Leave a Comment

This is the tenth month of my year long project at the Saratoga Battlefield and other parts of Saratoga National Historical Park. August is when the Americans began fortifying Bemis Heights in 1777 in order to block the British advance south from Canada which began in the Spring.

I will be visiting the battlefield and the Schuylerville area sites often over September and October, when all the activities took place.

Today, I walked the Wilkinson trail down to the Freeman Farm area before the tour road was open. I carried both my full frame bodies with the Sigma 28mm and Canon 85mm lenses.

I added 37 photos to the gallery which now contains 375 images.
