Fire Tower Trail, Grafton Lakes

It's been below freeing for several days so I figured it would be a good morning to hike around Grafton Lakes State Park with no chance of muddy roads or trails. I decided on the Water Tower trail, a new trail to me, the length of which is about 3.5 miles from the parking lot at the east end of Long Pond to the tower and back.

The trail was, indeed, frozen solid but, at 8AM, the temperature was 20 degrees with the wind chill in the single digits. It was cold to start but, as the sun rose, it didn't feel too bad.

I carried the EOS 5Ds R with the 16-35mm lens mounted to the camera and the fisheye zoom in a shoulder bag. The first six of these shots are with the 16-35mm lens and the last two are with the fisheye zoom at 14mm.

I added 25 images to the Grafton Lakes gallery, including some circular fisheye shots. https://trulandphotography.com/grafton
