More Grafton Lakes State Park

I took another walk around Shaver Pond this morning with the 24-70mm f/4L lens. I've had very mixed results bracketing files for HDR processing with a polarizer filter.

Today was mixed. Lessening reflections on the water was nice but it does things to the sky I don't like. I think it might have something to do with the way the filter affects the way the camera meters and determines white balance with severe over and under exposures.

The last time I used a polarizer filter, at this same location, I liked the results but that was with the mirrorless camera which meters in a totally different way and a different lens with a different sized filter. So, it could just be the 77mm diameter filter I use on the EF L lenses. Or not.

Here are some samples. I uploaded 26 images to the Grafton gallery which you can access from the main page or from the collections tab.
