The greater Northeast has been affected by the smoke from the wildfires occurring in California, Oregon and Washington. The smoke reportedly is staying in the upper levels of the atmosphere but it certainly filters sunlight and gives the sky a golden tint.
Lots of people have been out taking photos of the sun and I thought I'd document how the smoke affects my usual sunset and sunrise locations. It has been clear except for the smoke so the scenes are a little boring from a cloud standpoint.
Here are some examples from last evening's sunset and this morning's sunrise.
