The Top of the Waterford Flight of Locks

There were some dynamic skies around noon today and was out and looking for a location that might include some fall color with a relatively unobstructed view of the sky. My first stop at Cohoes Falls didn't look promising and I didn't even get out of the car.

I had already planned my next stop which was the boat launch and park at the end of Flight Lock Road, where the canal enters the Mohawk River - if you're heading west. These photos are all with the new EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM lens, which I am very happy with. In fact, I'm noticing issues on the edges with the RF 24-240mm lens. So, an upgrade to that lens might be in the works in coming months.
