I've been both using, and searching on eBay and elsewhere for, the Minolta manual focus lenses. Yesterday, another lens arrived. This one is an MC 200mm f/3.5 lens from 1970 which I found at a camera store in Waterford, Michigan for $20.

On Thursday, the EOS R6 with sensor based stabilization arrived. I was out of town on Friday and Saturday and didn't get to use the gear much. This morning, I walked around Peebles Island with the two most recent lenses and the EOS R6. 

The image stabilization worked nicely with both the 100mm and 200mm lenses. You have to set the focal length of all manual only lenses in the camera settings for optimal results but there are a few camera setting tricks which make this pretty easy, even with multiple lenses. 

It's generally accepted that sensor based stabilization - where the sensor moves to compensate for camera and lens movement - works best with wider focal lengths and lens based stabilization - where elements in the lens move - works better for longer focal lengths. The stabilization effect is noticeable with the 200mm lens but it isn't rock solid like with the 35mm and 58mm lenses.

Here are some images with the telephoto lenses from this morning and one from the other day with the 35mm, all handheld, although I think with the 200mm lens a monopod will be a help going forward. I will put shutter speeds in the caption.
