Testing the EF 24-70mm f/4L Lens

I took the 6D Mark II and EF 24-70mm f/4L lens up to the Champlain Canalway Trail this morning, parking at the Brookwood Rd. parking lot, which is also close to Lighthouse Park along the Hudson River.

I have previously owned one of these lenses so it was more a matter of testing the functions of the lens rather than characteristics of the lens. This lens is a refurbished lens purchased directly from Canon USA. Interestingly, the date code indicates it was manufactured in July, 2019, exactly the same month as my EF 16-35mm f/4L lens which I purchased new from Best Buy in September, 2020.

Here are some photos from the canal, the short walk down to the river and the kayak launch at Lighthouse Park. The first two show the extremes of the zoom range from the same spot. I like how the reflections on the railroad crossing sign in the barn shot make it look like the sign is translucent.
