Frozen Falls, Drained Canal

We're now two thirds of the way through winter. Daylight Savings Time returns in three weeks. To me, it seems like it's been a long winter already.

It hasn't been super snowy or super cold it's just been consistently cold with moderate snowfalls a couple of times a week. I'm ready for a good thaw.

But until then there's snowy scenes to photograph. This morning I visited Cohoes Falls and the Waterford Flight of Locks, both of which have dedicated galleries here.

I used the RF 24-240mm lens which has good image quality from 35mm to 200mm with the extremes of the zoom range being a bit on the soft side. The widest and longest focal lengths of these photos are 50mm and 173mm.
