Yesterday was one of those January days that we've not seem many of this year. Sunny skies but with temperatures not approaching the above freezing mark. It was also windy which meant bracketing for HDR processing would be better with distant subjects that move, like tree branches and flags. I used the 16-35mm lens. So, of course, there was a nice Red-tailed Hawk sitting in the wind on top of a monument that I could walk up close to. But without a longer lens handy...
Here are some of the results. The large monument is to John E. Wool (1784-1869) who served as an officer in the US Army for both the War of 1812 and the Civil War. You can read about him at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_E._Wool.
